Back in 2016 we were approached by our client who was unhappy with their existing accountant and wanted someone to take over the bookkeeping, payroll, VAT filing and year end accounts and corporation tax preparation for the UK company.
The client decided that outsourcing all finance and bookkeeping work to Vanilla Accounting was the right solution. As part of this solution the decision was made to transfer the accounting records onto a cloud accounting package in this case Xero was chosen as the right fit. This enabled the client to have access to the accounting records as they had no UK office but worked remotely and it also enabled the back office team in Porto, in Portugal, to have access to the accounting records as they needed.
The services provided included all processing of purchase invoices, preparation of monthly payroll and filing of quarterly VAT returns for the company. In addition, as an additional service we have also been involved in the processing of monthly expense claims and recording these on Xero. We have also undertaken completion of the year end accounts and corporation tax returns as well as regular meetings with the client as required.
